Social Affairs & Social Dialogue
The Social Affairs Committee (SAC) operates in the field of the European Social Dialogue and European social policies.
When it comes to the negotiation of SOCIAL DIALOGUE agreements by the European cross-sectoral social partners, the CEEP delegation is made up of members of the SAC. The same goes for the representation of CEEP in the Social Dialogue Committee that is the main forum for the bipartite social dialogue at the inter-professional level.
The SAC is also in charge of drafting all CEEP ANSWERS TO CONSULTATIONS launched by the EC in the field of social policies, in the context of articles 138 and 139 of the EC Treaty.
One of the main goals of the Committee is to help CEEP in making the voice of the public services and SGIs employers heard in the European arena and by that to influence European policy and legislation and to have an impact on industrial relation at European, national and local level.
The Committee works in a plenary composition and through 3 main working groups:
- The vocational training and Employment working group
- The social protection & Mobility working group
- Health & Safety working group
