Public services restructuring and modernisation through effective social dialogue and human resource management
PROJECT CONFERENCE: Public services restructuring and modernisation 10 December 2007
CEEP Report
Project report by Aritake-Wild
The aim of this project is to follow up on the orientations for reference on managing change among public service and SGIs employers and to enhance the results of previous projects on restructuring, which have taken insufficient account of the specificities of public service employers.
The project will seek to strengthen social dialogue on the issue of restructuring both at the national and at the European level. At national and cross national level it will facilitate the exchange of information and good practice in the management of restructuring. In addition, at at European level the goal will be to enhance the dialogue between cross-sectoral and sectoral employers providing services of general interest with a view to benchmarking experience and good practice in restructuring and modernisation, with the possibility of creating a more permanent forum for exchange at European level among cross-sectoral and sectoral employer organisations representing providers of services of general interest.
The project focuses on the following sectors:
Postal
Electricity
Railways
Public administration (both at central and at local level)
Health
Education
Partners of the project are:
CEEP UK
Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR)
Local Government Denmark (KL)
Groupe La Poste
Confservizi
Confederation of Polish Employers
